Privacy Policy

Here, in plain words, is how we use your information.

What we collect

  • Name, age, date of birth, sex and photos.
  • Mobile number and email.
  • Education, occupation, income and city.
  • Caste and sub-caste.
  • Marital status and family details.
  • Blood group, and anything you write yourself about your health.
  • Time and place of birth, rashi and nakshatra — for horoscope matching.
  • What you write about yourself and about your expectations of a partner.

What it is used for

  • One purpose only — to suggest matches to you, and to show your profile to members of the opposite sex.
  • Your mobile number is not visible to anyone at first. It becomes visible only after you and the other member have both accepted, or after that member has paid the membership fee.
  • Your information is never sold and never given out for advertising.
  • Profile text is automatically (AI) translated so it can be shown in the reader's language. Photos and text also pass through an automated first filter.

When a profile becomes visible

  • A profile becomes visible to other members as soon as registration is complete. An admin looks at it afterwards and removes it if anything is wrong — it is not checked beforehand.
  • The Sanstha never checks documents, income, occupation, caste or marital status.

Your rights

  • You can change your information at any time — use "Edit profile".
  • You can withdraw your consent to your data being stored at any time — use "Delete my account permanently". Your profile, photos and all your information are erased immediately and permanently; they cannot be recovered.
  • For any complaint, write to the Grievance Officer (info@vadarvivah.com) — their details are at the end of this page. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Security

  • Passwords are stored in encrypted form — not even the admin can see them.
  • The Sanstha never asks for an OTP, a password or bank details on the phone or by message. If anyone does, it is a fraud.
